ON BISHOP OYEDEPO

Bishop David Oyedepo as of now has published 60 books, heads a ministry that have penetrated over 60 nations of the world, have inspired the establishment of lots of businesses, companies, educational institutions, small scale industries etc.
He sits atop the organisation of two universities, post primary schools etc.
He's been productive, the combine workforce of all these organisations ll run into hundreds of thousands.
Truth be told, he is an asset to our nation and the world.
He deserves all that God has blessed him with.
Note this: whenever I post something critical about him or any man of God. I don't question their credibility. It's just an attempt to point out their lapses for the good of the Kingdom of Christ Jesus and the society at large.

BEWARE OF CHARLATANS

Beware of charlatans, fake men of God who claim to have healing and miracle working powers. Using gimmicks, strategies, the power of the media etc to attract and hoodwink desperate and ignorant people seeking for healing.
I have seen and heard of cases, of sick people who go to such (very popular) men of God looking up to them for healing. They have all returned to discover that their hope of recovery dashed and symptons persist. Some even die.
My candid advice: look up to God for your healing, know his Word, hold on to the Word, believe in His World, believe in the anointing of the 'Man of God' He has placed over your life.
See your Doctor! But don't place his verdict above God's Word.
God heals!

@Nigerian government!

 Boko haram is an idealogy.
You don't fight an idealogy with force alone.
The most effective strategy against an organisation that's founded on an idea is to attack the idea.
Use Moslem clerics to speak against it's doctrines.
Pour resources into their operational base. E.g. Social warfare for residents and infrastructure development.
Win the minds of the people, connect with community leaders, clerics etc.
Penetrate the organisation, not with the intention of arresting members but to sway them to a much more moderate strand of Islam.
The government doesn't help matters when residents of affected cities are complaining that the Nigerian military is killing more people than boko haram.

JUST WONDERING.

Sorry, can't help posting this, though, some people think Church leaders should not be berated.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God. (RCCG) Is stirring up a lot of dust for the wrong reasons of late.
Since the Church gave President Goodluck Jonathan her podium during the just ended "Holy Ghost Congress" this action some how puts the Church's endorsement and stamp of approval on a President we all know have not lived up to expectations. To make matters worse, was the President's dubious references to the alleged support of Pastor Adeboye and the RCCG as a whole in his political campaigns.
Like I keep saying, the Church is supposed to be the conscience of the society, pointing the way, shining the light and generally be above board so that she can effectively fulfill it's ministry of rebuking, correcting and teaching etc. (1 Timothy 5:20. 2 Timothy 3:16)
A Church that hobnobs carelessly with under performing politicians risk tarnishing her image and undermining her integrity.
Nigeria's clerics should follow the example of someone like South Africa's Bishop Desmond Tutu, who stood firmly against tyranny and injustice.
Maybe RCCG doesn't care about the image it sends to the world at large or else it wouldn't give the President all that leeway.
On the other hand: imagine Pastor Adeboye openly berating the President over the state of affair on his watch. Don't you think that ll mean more both for the President, the people of Nigeria and the Church!

@ NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT.

Corruption is when your recruitment drive targets illiterate, ignorant and desperate people instead of educated, enlightened and qualified people, because you have an agenda to short change, cheat, rob, maltreat and use them for self service.
This is what I think each time I see a haggard, unkempt, tattered and hungry looking person wearing the uniform of the Nigerian Police.
Please be nice to the Policemen you meet on the street, they are not the problem, they are also victims of a corrupt system.

THINK OUT OF THE BOX

Genius is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration - Albert Einstein.

The human mind in it's base form thinks in a narrow way. But has the capacity to also think outside of the box to find solutions.
Thinking is hard work.
There is always a way, but it's always beyond the realm of the senses. Thinking out of the box, means thinking beyond what we can sense.
Task your mind and your brain in 2013.
Be productive.

LEADERSHIP 101

Overlook people's lapses, bear with them.
To understand, put yourself in their shoes.
Forgive.
Relate.
Help.
Encourage.
Be concerned.
Be sincere.
The way you treat people is a reflection of the value you have for yourselve.
Treat everybody well.
Soon, they will begin to appreciate, and pour blessing on you.
Their father who is in heaven will be grateful and the desire of thy heart will be granted thee.
Wishing you a prosperous 2013.

SECULARISM VS SPIRITUALLTY

European and American secularism is the norm now. Especially among Africans who have been carried away by the well organised system and development.
Anybody who approves secularism at the expense of spirituality shows an ignorance of history.
Prove me wrong, that Europe was living in a dark age under the bondage of all kinds superstitions and beliefs.
Enlightenment came with the advent of Christianity which enables men to use their capacity to think, birthing science.
The New World as America is known then, is a nation that started totally as a result of a group of Christians who felt disenchanted with the religious dogmas been praticed in Europe, who wanted a place where they can worship God in truth and freedom.
Secularism is a symptom of a the decline of western civilization, and the rise of nation who are spiritually consciouse.
Watch out for India, China, Nigeria because the tide is changing
